One of the most populated cities in France after Paris, Lyon and Marseille, Lille is a northern town close to Belgium, nicknamed the "Capital of Flanders" for being located in the historical region of Romance Flanders. With Euralille, the third biggest business center in Europe, as well as the TGV (high-speed train) and the Eurostar, Lille is now a central player in Europe. It is one of the largest cities in its conurbation – a network of towns merging with the suburbs of a central city – which includes Roubaix, Tourcoing and Villeneuve-d'Ascq, but also some Belgian cities.

Elected the European Capital of Culture in 2004, Lille has plenty to offer, whether you are just passing through or visiting – and Remotely Serious has found the top coworking spaces in Lille so you can bring your projects with you to this beautiful city!

La Maison du Coworking

“Like working at home” is how La Maison du Coworking presents its offer – convivial, unpretentious yet comfortable spaces “on a human scale” to encourage focus and connection. Of its 8 locations in Lille and its nearby towns (and many more in other French cities), the one in front of the Lille Flandres train station stands out – what better place to have meetings with people from out of town, or to work a little before continuing your tour of France? Its panoramic view is also a plus, as is its 24/7 access. A monthly membership is required, with hot desking starting at 120€/month with a 300€ deposit or a dedicated desk at 180€/month and 2 months of deposit. Memberships are also available for meeting rooms as well as stock rooms (up to 16 m2) for equipment and personal items. Private offices from 10 to 60 m2 can also be rented out. Notable is the fact that most desks seem to come with an ergonomic chair for maximum comfort, and coffee and tea are unlimited for everyone.

Clockwork Lille

Its commitment-free memberships make Clockwork Lille a particularly attractive coworking space for those of us who travel a lot or can’t stay in one place for too long. Starting at 6€ per hour (with unlimited coffee, tea, cakes and sweets), the different options grant you access Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 7pm, to a space that recalls the cozy coffee shops we’ve spent hours in, but promises to make you more productive. A day pass comes at 25€ or 12,50€ for students and people seeking work, and prepaid plans without time limits can also be bought for more regular visits and come with free credits. Small private offices, referred to as “boxes,” are also available for small meetings or coaching sessions, starting at 18€ excluding tax for one hour and with degressive prices, as well as larger conference rooms in different configurations (one of them is a small auditorium, perfect for project presentations).

Wojo Coworking Lille Centre

Also located near the train station, where the Galeries Lafayette used to be, the Lille Centre location of Wojo Coworking is beautifully designed, with on top of a bright and inviting coworking space, an interior garden, a rooftop terrace, and colorful and comfortable furniture that pays homage to the region. Different corners are set up for your different needs – more quiet spaces for focused work, others where conversation is encouraged, small spaces for quick debriefs and even nap rooms to boost your wellbeing and productivity. Offers range from 17€ + VAT for half a day or 27€ for 8am-6pm access, to a monthly coworking membership starting at 120€. Solutions adapted to your specific needs can also be found with the team. Private offices from 2 people can also be rented à la carte, starting at 45€ per day or, with a membership, at 300€ per month. Meeting rooms are available from 20€ per hour, with TV and projector.

Hiptown Euratech

In the heart of the Euratechnologies campus, the startup incubator, Hiptown Euratech offers monthly memberships to access its large open space (with phone boxes and meeting room usage) 24/7 from 150€/month, as well as private offices from 350€/month. The meeting rooms can also be paid for by the hour, from 15€. The sur mesure option allows you to figure out the best suitable set up for your particular needs. The café is perfect to chat and meet new people, a concierge is on site to help you, and you can request particular features from a dedicated app. Self-employed people as well as small businesses are encouraged to join this collaborative and professional space.

Talent Garden Lille

Spread over two floors in a building near the town center, Talent Garden’s Lille location offers a range of solutions, whether you need just day access to the coworking space (20€ + VAT), hot desk at a shared table from Monday to Saturday 7:00-22:00 (90€/month + VAT), or a dedicated desk in the week (300€/month + VAT). The vibe is very much that of a university campus, where young entrepreneurs come up with new ideas, in particular related to digital innovation, all in a relaxed environment. Private desks are also available, in various configurations and depending on your business. Free workshops and upskilling activities are also offered to help you grow.

La Coroutine

A non-profit, self-managed and organic community space, La Coroutine may very well be right to argue that it is the cheapest coworking space in all of Lille. Starting at 6€ for half a day and 10€ for a day, all tax included, the prices are competitive and the offer easily accessible: you can either buy credits online, or just turn up and be guaranteed to find a spot. Prices are also adapted for students, people out of work or on benefits – a truly humanistic approach. More regular visitors can buy an unlimited monthly pass for 150€ with the possibility of getting a fixed spot, although spaces are limited. The environment itself is bright and spacious and has a colorful and unpretentious, relaxing style, with phone booths and meeting rooms also available. Coworkers are invited to participate in the daily life of the space, for instance suggest ideas which will be voted on democratically, organizing events, or cooking for everyone. La Coroutine is also a tiers-lieu, meaning it is open to the outside world on evenings and weekends, with events for the neighborhood or for organizations.
