Top coworking spaces in Marseille 2024

With its sunny location and as the second most populous city in France, Marseille is an exciting place to visit and work in. Its port made it a key player in the transport industry as well as a tourist destination, and the city saw growth in the service sector in recent years, with many small and medium businesses opening in the area. Remotely Serious has compiled a list of great coworking places for your next visit to the Phocaean City.

Now Coworking Marseille

In the center of the historical city and facing the Vieux-Port, Now Coworking has opened a 2,900m2 coworking space over 4 floors, with various settings for productivity and connection. With a patio, a large open space and more quiet corners for phone calls and rest, a gym and more, this is a particularly comprehensive offer. No day passes are available, but the ‘Pionnier’ offer at 49€/month gives you 10h of access Mon-Fri, 8am-7pm; the ‘Globe Trotter’ offer at 19€/month gives you 30h 24/7, and the ‘Explorateur’ membership at 249/month gives you unlimited access 24/7 at any Now Coworking location (there are 17 others across France). Shared offices are also available, as well as private offices for up to 13 people.

THE BABEL COMMUNITY – Quartier République and Quartier Vieux-Port

Also present in Montpellier, The Babel Community has two locations in Marseille, offering day passes at both Quartier République and Quartier Vieux-Port, for 25€ at the former and 20€ at the latter. You get access to a terrace, a large restaurant, a gym, meeting rooms and call boxes. A monthly open space access comes at 199€, and meeting rooms of different sizes (including a cozy amphitheater) can be booked for half a day, a day or for late evenings.

Le Loft - Coworking

Also located in the Vieux-Port, Le Loft focuses on community and doesn’t offer day passes (although you get 7 trial days before signing up). Open 24/7, the space is aimed at entrepreneurs, start-ups and remote workers and offers a simple monthly membership without commitment at 249€, which also gives you 8 credits to use meeting rooms and call boxes. Each member is also displayed on Le Loft’s website with the website of their company. Coffee, a relaxation room with table soccer and arcade games and a rooftop help foster connection.

Smack Coworking

Open 24/7, Smack is located in the Vieux-Port and offers a monthly membership for hot desking at 180€, allowing you to choose each day between either the quiet or the animated open spaces. A fixed desk comes at 288€/month, while closed spaces for small business are also available from 1730€/month. Coffee, meeting rooms bookable on demand at friendly prices, call boxes, lockers and a sunny terrace make Smack a great option for your longer stays in Marseille.

Hiptown - Espace de Coworking - Vieux-Port

With three spaces in Marseille and many more across France, Hiptown is a name in the coworking business. Both the Vieux-Port and the Vélodrome locations offer monthly memberships for open spaces from 150€, as well as closed offices for 2 to 30 people at Vélodrome and 2 to 120 at Vieux-Port. Meeting rooms are also available from 20€/hour.

Startway Coworking Marseille Colbert

Located in a historical building specifically remodeled to become more accommodating to coworking, Startway Marseille Colbert is one of the more flexible offers in the city – which makes sense, since the company is a coworking pioneer, having created the C3 quality label that guarantees that a working environment matches certain criteria for work at a third-place (‘tiers-lieu’). Hot desking in the open space starts at 5€/hour for access Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, a day pass to work in a private room starts at 60€, and monthly passes for this specific site or extending to others in France are also available. Call boxes and meeting rooms of various capacities can be booked by the hour, for half a day or a whole day.
